CARBON ELECTRODES is a general term for an electrode consisting of elemental carbon. It can be divided into four categories: natural graphite electrode, artificial graphite electrode, carbon electrode and special carbon electrode.
Natural graphite electrodes are mainly used for various electric arc furnace electrodes; artificial graphite electrodes are used for various electrolytic electrodes such as alkali metals and alkaline earth metals; carbon electrodes are used for electrolytic electrodes such as aluminium and magnesium, dry cell electrodes, etc; special carbon electrodes are porous carbon electrodes based on carbon fibers for fuel cells, etc. The glassy carbon electrode (glassy carbon electrode) made from solid resin by carbonization has high purity and chemical corrosion resistance, and is used for analysis. CARBON ELECTRODES are widely used in metallurgy, chemical industry, electrochemistry and other industries.
