Recycled graphite carbon rod, simply said is roasted and pressed by graphite powder. Compared with graphite electrode rod, it has no graphitization in the process. Raw material is certainly different. The cost of graphite electrode rod is higer a lot. The density of recycled graphite carbon rod is higher than graphite electrode rod, respectively are 1.7 and 1.58. However, in the actual production, recycled graphtie carbon rod could not replace graphite electrode rod. With the development of science and technology, study and develop graphite application has a new develpment and discovery.
Compared with graphite electrode rod, conductivity of recycled graphite carbon rod is bad. If the requirement of resistance is more strict, graphite electrode rod should be used. If it is used for furnace, then recycled graphite carbon rod is more durable as it also has the heat resistant performance. The main reason is that the price is cheap. If it is used for stirring liquid, recycled graphite carbon rod could also be selected with good corrosion resistant performance. But if it is used for smelting process, graphite electrode rod should be used without no doubt. As it has strict requirement of physical index, recycled graphite rod could not be replaced.
